如何準備專題討論(一)?
The first class you will take as an IPCS student will be Seminar I, where you will briefly present your initial thesis research plan. The TA will send an email during the summer with important information about requirements and assignments, please make sure to check your NTU email well in advance!
身為IPCS的學生,第一堂課是專題討論(一),課堂上將要介紹自己論文的初步研究計畫。 TA會在暑假時發送一封電子郵件,信中將包含相關要求和指定閱讀等重要信息,請時常檢查您的NTU電子郵箱!
Q: Regulation of Seminar II class?
專題討論(二)規定?
Students need to attend 18 research presentations and write a summary of each presentation. The 18 summaries should consist at least 4 long summaries (1500-2000 words; see supplemental information about format and word limit).
修課學生須撰寫14篇短摘及4篇長摘(1500-2000字),更多細節請參閱Seminar 2格式和繳交規範。
Q: 碩士生專討三與四的規定
(1) Taking “Seminar III” requires passing “Seminar I”. If student want to take “Seminar I ” and “Seminar III” in the same semester, the application should submit to the advisor of the course. The target of the course is to help student accomplish literature review, research design, and research proposal.
(2) Taking “Seminar IV” requires passing “Seminar III”. Student also needs to register the course “Master’s Thesis” and taking “Master’s Degree Examination” in the same semester.
(1) 「專討三」需要修畢「專討一」,若要同一學期修習需要在修課前向開課老師提出申請。目標完成文獻回顧、研究設計及研究計劃書定稿。
(2) 「專討四」需要修畢「專討三」,並在預計畢業學期與「碩士論文」同時修習,以及完成口試。
Q: 博士生專討三四五六的相關規定
(1) Taking “Seminar III” requires passing “Seminar I”. If student want to take “Seminar I ” and “Seminar III” in the same semester, the application should submit to the advisor of the course. The target of the course is to help student construct research questions, introduce importance, and accomplish literature review & research proposal.
(2) Taking “Seminar IV” requires passing “Seminar III”. The target is to propose the research plan including research framework, research process/methods/design, and expected results.
(3) Taking “Seminar V” requires passing “Seminar IV”. The target is to complete the
initial research results including data collection and data analysis.
(4) Taking “Seminar VI” requires passing “Seminar V”. It also needs to take the course “ Dissertation” and delivers the dissertation oral presentation in the same semester.
(1) 「專討三」需要修畢「專討一」,若要同一學期修習需要在修課前向開課老師提出申請。目標研究問題形成及重要性說明,完成文獻回顧及提出研究構想。
(2) 「專討四」需要修畢「專討三」,目標提出研究計畫,需包含:研究架構、研究流程/方法/設計,以及研究預期成果。
(3) 「專討五」需要修畢「專討四」,目標完成論文初步研究成果,需包含初步資料蒐集及分析結果。
(4) 「專討六」需要修畢「專討五」,並在預計畢業學期與「博士論文」同時修習,以及完成口試。
Q: 碩士生除專討之外的必修課程相關規定
There are 14 credits of required courses to be completed ,including “Seminar I-IV (4 credits)”, “Climate Change: Issues and Solutions (3 credits)”, “Workshop on Climate Change and Human Settlements (3 credits)”, “Frontier Research Topics I-IV (2 credits)”, and "Analysis and Application of Climate Data (2 credits)". “刪除M.S. Thesis (6 credits)”.
必修課程總共14學分,除了「專題討論I-IV(共四學分)」之外有「氣候變遷問題與對策(三學分)」、「氣候變遷人居實作(三學分)」、「前瞻議題I-IV(共二學分)」、「氣候資料分析及數據應用(二學分)」。刪除->"「碩士論文(六學分)」"
Q: 博士生除專討之外的必修課程相關規定
There are 14 credits of required courses to be completed ,including “Seminar I-VI (6 credits)”, “Climate Change: Issues and Solutions (3 credits)”, “Workshop on Climate Change and Human Settlements (3 credits)”, and "Independent Research (2 credits)". “刪除Dissertation (Ph.D) (12 credits)”.
必修課程總14學分,除了「專題討論I-VI(共六學分)」之外有「氣候變遷問題與對策(三學分)」、「氣候變遷人居實作(三學分)」、「獨立研究(二學分)」。刪除「博士論文(十二學分)」
Q: What is the Academic Ethics course and how do I take it?
什麼是學術倫理課程,我該如何修這門課?
The Academic Ethics course is a 6-hour online course required by the Ministry of Education for all NTU students. It is available in both English and Chinese, and must be completed in your first semester.
學術倫理課程是教育部規定所有台灣研究生必修的6小時線上課程。 系統上有中英文兩種版本,必須在第一學期完成課程。

IPCS core courses generally incorporate both lectures and experiments or collaborative hands-on activities. Most of the classes will assign long-term group projects that culminate in a final presentation and written report. You will be graded largely according to your participation and contribution.
IPCS的核心課程通常混合講演和實作或小組合作課程。大多數課程以小組合作進行,學期末繳交期末報告和書面報告。評分標準主要取決於個人在報告中的參與和貢獻。
